I think A striker like Fred would be almost perfect for a season. We save the money until summer 2015, and Blow it on whoever is the hot property then. Strikers perk up in 24 months all the time.

I really don't get this fascination with Hulk. OK, admittedly, I haven't seen him play a whole lot in Russia, but usually when I see him for the NT, I wonder what the hell Scolari is thinking, as he sticks out like a sore thumb.

Sure, he's got amazing body strenght obviously, but aside from that, what exactly does he bring to the table? His shot is fierce but rarely on target, his ball control is mediocre and even though he's pretty fast, he doesn't strike me as a very good dribbler. Add to that the fact that he's coming from a filthy rich Russian club, has a past pricetag of €60M and has disgustingly high wages, he'll be one hell of an expensive package.

I suppose I'm being too harsh on him, and his stats does back his credentials well, so what exactly am I missing here?
