Why not stay? It seems like he could be a super sub of the bench with the way the teams shaping up. Could be first option behind Torres up top and behind Hulk on the right, and maybe even Hazard on the left. He's pretty versatile.I think he's more likely to be a bench-warmer unfortunately. Either that or just leave.
Sadly in football nowadays money CAN buy success. Look at City and Chelsea-perfect examples. Chelsea hit the lottery after that shit Roman spent millions. This has far ranging repercussions for clubs like Barca. The current team we have is a once in a generation team led by probably the best player of all time. You cant expect future sides to be this good. I doubt if La Maisa will produce players in the mould of Messi, Xavi and Iniesta in the future. That means we will have to buy to stay competitive but we cant pay top dollar like Citeh or Chelsea so we will probably not attract the best talent in the future.
we will not be one of the best in the world forever... just enjoy it...
clubs rise and fall... true cules go through it all
Convenient you only considered up to 10/11, when Chelsea (presumably) just spent a fortune on two huge transfers these past few weeks.A quick calculation shows that Chelsea and Barcelona have spend roughly the same amount of money on transfers from 06/07 till 10/11, but City and Real Madrid have spend twice that.
So maybe we shouldn't point fingers at Chelsea?

I guess we will spend some money also before next season, but I don't mind teams spending money. I'm not a fan of Chelsea at all, but dont think all cules knows we spend as much as Chelsea for some time.
Maybe that small profit will go towards paying debt, ahh who am I kiddingYou would be right it it weren't for the fact that most of the cules from this forum have criticized our spending, the club tries to cut on it and Barca's revenue is bigger then Chelsea's.
I'm guessing that even after we buy some players this summer, Barca will still make a (small) profit..I don't think that this will happend with Chelsea though.
