That said, he looks slightly shorter than Abidal here.

And significantly taller than Fati
Abidal is 1.86, while Fati is "unofficially" 1.78 as his height isn't listed on official website (at least English version) and there is many cases were players of that age wasn't accurately listed.
I would guess he is around 1.84, same height as Rakitic. Good but not very tall.

Just stating the fact since you were mentioning his recent stats which also doesn't mean much.
But tbh I try not to have high hopes for him since he doesn't look like a player with elite footballing intelligence. Will have to see how he will perform as he won't be able to use his physique as he progresses.

That is what I meant by "high hopes".
Otherwise, La Masia has been consistently producing top 5 European league mid table team level of players so that doesn't mean much if that is what you expect from him.

We apparently rejected a loan offer from RBL for Ilaix. This doesn't make too much sense imo. I don't think he's ready to play for their first team so why would RBL want him unless they would include a buy option. And rejecting their offer is much more understandable in that case.

But if it's truly just a loan and they would give him first team minutes then I wouldn't mind loaning him for a season or even two (we'd need to extend his current contract which expires in 2022 first in that case) to develop under Nagelsmann. It's probably still the best for him to play regularly for Barca B and maybe get some first team minutes next season though.
