Yeah pick pockets are everywhere......though the only place i've been pickpocketed before in barcelona was in a market.

Just don't put anything in your back pockets and you should be fine.

LI am not a Soci, but I plan to sign up when I get to the stadium.

I don't think it's possible to sign up for membership anymore (for non-Catalans)?

Some months after the closing-down of the membership-registration last October, they talked about the "commitment"-card (after 3 years of "commitment", one could become a soci), but I don't think that "commitment" thing is already active?

from what I read they've allowed for non-Catalans to sign up to be a Soci, but only if you go to the Nou Camp to sign up. I'm pretty sure I read that somewhere. I'm sure I'll find out soon.

Yeah, that's the commitment-card that I was talking about (3 years of commitment before you can become a real member). Apparently it's possible to apply for the commitment-card since the beginning of April. You can read everything about it here

You're essentially putting yourself on the waiting list to be a member for three years. You have to pay 125€ (less than membership fee), but it will definitely put off those who just want to be a member to get a few tickets for a season, and will also get a bit of money out of those who sign up but then cant be bothered to wait three years.
