They're out because they didn't play to win. Today and agaisnt costa rica italy played badly. Balotelli should had seen red in the first half too.

I despise Abete so that part might be a blessing in disguise, but I'm not sure I want to blame Prandelli for this. It seemed like the players couldn't cope with the conditions more than anything else, plus the ref in this game was terrible. Maybe some issues with motivation that could be pinned on Prandelli (the apparent apathy toward friendlies and the fact that the team often doesn't seem to wake up until it's too late). But he did the right thing in changing tactics for instance, also got unlucky with Balotelli acting like an idiot, Marchisio getting sent off and Immobile/Verratti both having to come off with cramps.
