Rakitic is slowly but steadily turning into a very important player for the team. I feel that the team performs better whenever he plays. That's a very good sign of him doing something right.

I still feel that he has more in his locker though. Nevertheless great to have a player that combines technique, vision, strength and hard work this good.

He has that awesome combination of technique, intelligence and raw fighting spirit and physical ability. That gif that floated around after yesterdays game is the perfect example of this mix, and is one of the many reasons why we play better with him. It's something we have been sorely needing for a good while now.

His work and linkup with Messi on the right yesterday was just a joy to watch.

The first one was a troll post (quite clearly) reffering to some people claiming such bollocks a few days ago (that he doesn't have the technical ability to play against bit teams, gets exposed in tight spaces and looks hopeless when put pressure on). I always claimed he's good enough.
