Jamal Musiala

• 5-year contract until 2030
• €25m gross salary per year
• Signing fee (significantly less than Davies' €22m)
• €175m release clause valid in summer 2028
• €100m release clause valid in summer 2029

Safe to say he ain't going nowhere anytime soon ?

f Musiala's salary is going to be the benchmark for Lamine, then he might as well start packing his bags and leave this club. Lamine shouldn't get a contract bigger than Pedri or Raphinha.

Fan of the player but is there really room for him in midfield? Pedri, Olmo, Gavi, Fermin, Casado, Pablo & FDJ. Not forgetting Bernal’s return & pending promotion of Guille, Toni et al from La Masia

Even with a potential exit of Frenkie, he‘s not a pivot, more like an 8 so would he be rotational depth for Pedri?

I find him similar in some ways to Fermin as the German is truly an attacking & pressing midfielder or quite simply a younger & more pressing version of Olmo

Feels like a luxury buy and why I more inclined to think he ends up at City or Bayern

Don't want another Thiago situation. With Pedri - Olmo as a definite starter.
Gavi, Fermin, and Pablo will be happy rotating with not many complaints.
Only CDM with FDJ and Casado, we don't have a clear winner. Better for us.
No need to disrupt this ecosystem, let them play together and grow. We finally have a WC midfield, with similar squad depth. Experimenting with it is shooting ourself on the foot.

This midfield will define an era of football, just like Iniesta - Xavi- Busi did.

Always been a big fan of Jamal and of course he has massive potential still being very young but I don’t think he’s developed at all in the last two years.

Still the same player who’s great at dribbling but the end product is inconsistent.
