James Rodriguez

BLASPHEMY!
That is actually kinda true isn't it?
Well I wouldn't say no good sides, but not the best in the world.
He did very well in Portugal, no? They aren't pushovers over there. And so far he has done well in the French league from what I hear.
But he has yet to play against the best teams in the world. And paying 85m for him ? PLEASE! Please Madrid get him!

@Bertus, I assume you've watched James on a regular basis. How good is he actually? Does he churn out WC-like performances week in and week out in France too?

Could write a book about how he had an awesome season.

It didn't start well tho, because when he signed, he couldn't play because of an injury. Then he got back on track. he rocked the first month he played with Monaco in a 10 position.

Then Ranieri started being retarded and benched him for a few matches for no reason, then he tried to make him play on the wings. While not bad, it didn't work as well.

After the winter mercato, he came back in number 10 position and did performances after performances till the end.

Near the end when PSG won the title, many monaco players started to not care anymore but James continued to play well till the very end.

If Ibra didn't have his best season ever, he would have won the Best Player of the season award easily.

He finished first in assists too. Above Ibra.

Falcao never had very good perf even before his injury. So it's fair to say james carried an entire team on his back through the season.

For the record, Monaco didn't lose to PSG at home or away.

James is a modern player. He can score, he can pass, he defends a lot. He can come back in defensive midfielder to build attacks if the midfield is failing (just like ibra does). And he's a leader.

Glad to hear he's kept on doing well :)

Thanks, man, appreciated. Although it's not exactly why I had hoped to hear, when it comes to him being rumored to Los Merengues.

He should join barcelona. One of his friend even shared he picks Barcelona when playing FIFA14 IIRC ;)

But some people here hate him for no reason (check kroos thread) or think he's uneeded, while he could be the future best midfielder in barcelona behind Messi, Suarez and Neymar for the next ten years.

But no, too young, too overrated, and he likes RM. So it's no.

If he joins RM i'll be very sad too, because i would want to see him at barcelona, PSG or Dortmund since that's the teams i like the most.

Choosing which side to play on FIFA is far from indicative. Hell, at time I had chosen Bayern and RM when I played professional and world class levels because I expected myself to lose. (I am only good at amateur and semi-pro levels ).

I think it is not about we don't want him (the club officially did not say anything about him), from what I read, he clearly said he prefers Real Madrid. What can you do?

Gonna quote people from hummels thread  at least I would like barcelona to try.

And yeah, that's also a part about me dreaming for the perfect barcelona team (imo)

James, Hummels, Benatia (or Marquinhos even) + suarez and aurier

That would have been my perfect window.

Where would he play at Barca? He's an AM, and we already have Iniesta for that.

if Real Madrid are really going to pay that much for him is it just to equal Barcelona signing Suarez is he that much better than Di Maria?
