Not sure about that. Ibra's reputation in Italy was incredible, while James has no reputation in any league really. But it is a bad deal by RM if there is no annual loan fee. No club willing to smash their own wage structure for him most likely. If James joins and becomes by far the best paid player in his new team, all other stars in that team will demand more as well.
I am looking it this way
In 2010 our board found that:
1-Ibra is trouble maker and he had broken relation with coach
2-He is almost 29
3-Pep want him to get the hell out of here, Pep never renewed before his deals was finalized (that is why Chyg and Ibra was signed in 1st place,Txiki opposed both and wanted Villa from the start) and new board has to get Pep what he wants.
4-Ibra
wants Italy. He has already limited your options.
James?
1-He isn't really a trouble maker or unwelcome that way.
2-He is 26
3-Probably would have been open to go to PL.
I think that what makes Ibra selling less worse.
Anyway, both are terribly bad -unless Marca story proves to be true- and they are 7 years separated.
