Well to be fair he was originally a Midfielder but was moved to CB.Transfermarkt lists him as someone who can indeed play DM, perhaps we are trying to hit two birds with one stone?

That and a loan to a Spanish club as written in post 165. Either that or a loan deal with a Ligue 1 club. What he needs right now is continuous playing time.
Not sure how willing Toulouse are to backtrack but if that could be arranged it would be optimal. I know that Toulouse apparently bought a Japanese guy to replace him but maybe he could still contribute. We will see. It would be strange to see him rot at Toulouse for the reminder of the season at least. Would make no sense in his situation with 10 senior games to his name.

I think they are just applying pressure to his club. Now he is officially ours and it is only up to them to get a fee or pay him to play with B team.
