Fair enough. Pressure is on him now. If he can't make it work, the board will make him the scapegoat. Too bad the board would rather give in to our coaches all the time. Managers don't always make the best transfer decisions.
No, but they are the ones managing the team lol. The only reason the board should interfere imo is if it is a signing for financial investment reasons, or a request by the future manager to take over

Nope. The Board and Management have to ensure the future is secured too. Most managers are only worried about the 2-3 years they are going to be there. If we left them do everything, the team would be ruined by the time next man steps in.
Some of them are also hell bent on signing trash players just because they know them. Scouts and other parts of the management have more knowledge about players around the World.

If Valverde doesnt see him as better than have then best to keep the money.
Seri just feels like a punt to cover the cracks not a sure fire player to improve squad. Be as well giving Roberto minutes rather than signing someone for numbers.

Of all the teams with money and none of them have moved for him suggests he would at best be a punt to add numbers. Not really what is needed.
Players like Kroos should have been bought regardless of manager not Seri.

Didn't say he was, but I doubt EV knows much about Seri apart from what the management have told him or showed him through match footage.
If he thinks he isn't good enough then fair enough, but sometimes it should not be left to the manager. Continue this way and the next Kroos-like signing will go elsewhere too.
