As much as I'm anti-Madrid, I cannot deny Modric, he is the finest midfielder in the world today. Verratti is more of a hype at the moment, contender, but he has to prove winning some major titles. Just like Michael Jordan - he was always great, right from Day 1 in 1984, but he became the greatest basketball player of all times thanks to all these consecutive titles he won.

Modric, Thiago, Kroos, David Silva are all great. But Verratti is a class apart. But, since he is playing in a shit league with a team that can't get past last 16, his quality is largely undermined.
