All of Madrid seems to be pulling for Jesé to succeed, but he needs to hone his craft in the shadows..

Not Jese, Morata maybe but not Jese, unless Jese grows impatient. Madrid won't push him out, they want him.

As a fan, can you tell me what it is that is so special about Jese and not Morata? Tbh, maybe for me it's just how they come across but I'd rather have Morata in the squad than Jese, even though they are completely different players.

I like Morata a lot as a #9 but Jese is a better player. He's like a mobile forward. He can dribble, link up, and cause a lot of problems for opposition defenses while running at them. Also, his positioning and finishing makes him great as a deeper lying striker. He engages in attacks with the team and finishes them off, whereas Morata is the target for the team to finish things off. Morata has a purpose and is very good at what he does, but Jese can assume a larger amount of roles and slot in wherever he needs to be.

Overall all of this makes it possible for him to play in a 4-3-3 or a 4-2-3-1, and as a winger, attacking midfielder, or a forward. That kind of versatility gives him a larger role in the team as a sub/backup than Morata who struggles to get time since he's only in contention for one position.

Most likely *was*.

Jese plays alot like El Shaarawwy from what i've seen. He is making good decisions on the pitch, looks mature with his handling of situations, no where near the selfish mess that Ronaldo is. Madrid is not letting him go easily. I love jese, hope he stays at madrid long time.

The difference between Morata and Jese, aside from a different set of natural abilities is mentality. While Jese is a massive bitch and has nagged for a position on the team, which alerted Perez himself, he took his chances really well. Morata is a hot head, who I think has been playing in the wrong position at times (LW, lone striker) but he gets too worked up. He is an emotional player, whereas Jese is a lot more confident.

Morata's skills are not to be undermined either, he isn't as flashy as Jese but he is very strong, good in the air, and has shown great ability to work in tight space and more importantly, he is good in getting involved in the play in the final third. However, he works hard for the team and he needs to balance that with his duty of scoring goals. He will come good, but he needs a bit more self confidence.

Maybe we have different definitions but Id say Jese is the hothead of the two :

@ 1:49. Plus he's also the one that was banned for 15 games by the RFEF for stomping on a referee's foot when he was playing for Spain sub 16.

He hasn't got a passive attitude but he is has a cooler head than Morata, who I've seen foul and protest referee decisions and track back out of frustration. I love both though. Morata needed today's goal and he has saved us twice against Levante (was it?).

They're both hotheads (Jese & Morata), it is RM after all...I've seen examples of both showing their true colors although, for me, Morata comes off as the more consistent twat...Jese, at least, seems he can play with a cool head
