No Txiki No Barto No Nike Executive Rosell to bring in Ronaldinho and Alves.

Instead we have keep calm videos.

The main has been exposed as a fraud long ago. He was already facing a vote of no confidence until Pep and golden generation saved his ass

Yep exactly. I think he is in this cycle and he can't stop it. Even our players are broken after every game. The whole organization full of cracks.

We need some financial help quickly.

We are banking on Griezmann and Trincao deals, along a sale or two during the summer (MATS most likely, maybe Coutinho will go finally?) and then some contracts are over in 2023 that will further help the salary situation of the club.

Plus the Barca corporate deal, which I guess is plan A (otherwise it wouldn't have been approved by the assembly). Everything Laporta did this year looks like a setup for next summer.

He clearly has bitten of more than he can chew. This is 2021. The footballing landscape has changed.
His main priorities should be
Raise funds
Appoint the right people to do their jobs

Has failed miserably on both counts.
If he keeps this up Barto will get reelected. That is a scary thought.

If that ever happens I hope the club ceases to exist and Barto and all those that voted for him die a slow painful death.

Laporta might be clueless, but football is a business and we are at a downward spiral.

It is easy to be on top when you have Messi, the best generation of La Masia ever and tons of money.

Messi, Cr7 and Neymar are gone.
La Liga was on it's peak during Messi and Cr7.
Without them, average fans won't care.
In the 90s or early 00s, nobody has watched La Liga.
In my country, for example, they always had Seria A and EPL matches from 1991-2005.
There was no La Liga and barely anyone complaint.

And then a lot of our fans are measuring everything with the golden era, for example:
La Masia is golden because it worked around 2009
La liga is popular because it was after 2009
We are one of the best clubs because we were after 2009

Without the best generation ever, we'll get shittier deals from sponsors, shittier tv deals, La liga is poor either way, Camp Nou is half empty.
With even less money, how to attract new sponsors and buy 150m superstars to change our fortunes?

Some people here often ask me: Bbz, what is your end goal?
One of it is = reality.
A lot of our fans jumped on Barca's ship during the most successful era in our history and those fans have too high standards and expectations.
I mean, we fired EV after 2 La ligas because he didn't play beautiful enough.

In the 90s and 00s, besides Barca I loved Ac Milan, Roma and Liverpool.
But all of those clubs had a 10, 15 or 30 years long stints of being poor mostly because they didn't have money.

Ok, sometimes you can build a good team with average income but in general the best teams are the richest teams.
Look at Psg, City, Chlelsea, Liverpool.

Ok, Barto made some horrible deals but still...

Even in the past we were on top due to R9, Rivaldo, Ronaldinho, Etoo, Deco, who were all expensive signings.

About Super league, that is our only chance.
La liga is irrelevant and it is sinking lower and lower.
Sponsors will run away from us.
International fans who were coming to see Msn won't come to watch Nico and Gavi.

Our fans will have a rude awakening.
They are looking for quick fixes, but those won't work.

People say how we will fly after Raki, EV, Koeman or today after Busi.
No matter how bad Busi is, we'll probably be even worse without him.

The world has changed.
Epl and other teams are way richer.
Other teams are better at scouting.
Other teams are better at training regimes and physical preparation.
Other teams are better in a psychological planning of a team, leaders and mental strength.

We are stuck in the past where La Masia was golden, where 168cm players were rulling the world, where talent was more important than physique and where La liga was rich and everyone wanted to be sponsors of Barca, everyone wanted to sign for Barca and Camp Nou was full.

I know that some people don't like my grey estimations, but our future is probably way closer to Milan and Arsenal than to anything even close to 2009.

Even in 2006 or 2009, a part of our income and La liga fame came due to Seria A bankruptcy.
It was the most popular league for 20 years and it suddenly died.
Sponsors, tv viewers and players needed a new league to move on from Seria A, and majority of them moved to La Liga and Epl.
Today though, we are where Seria A was in 2005'.
La liga is without money, without superstars and more or less irrelevant and boring.
Fans, sponsors, players and hype are moving to Epl.
And there are no reasons for La liga to re-emerge again since in 2008, it came on top due to a fall of Seria A and Spanish NT success followed by Messi-Cr7 eternal rivalry.

Some will ask: what is your solution then?
It is Superleague.
And a hope that we will magically produce a Messi-lite out of nowhere from La Masia who will attract sponsors and buzz.

About Laporta and sponsors, we will be losing sponsors.
Imagine if you are Nike or Playstation.
Would you invest 200m euros in La Liga or Epl?
Imagine the difference in return of investment in those two currently.
Without money, we'll sink lower and lower.
And rich will get richer.

I don?t agree. Liverpool doesn?t spend a lot of money on expensive players. They recruit wisely and lucked out with hiring one of the best managers in contemporary football. Manchester United does however spend a lot of money, and look at them! Pure crap! Without proper vision and leadership at the top, overspending on players is NOT a game changer.

Barcelona will inform physios Brau and Linde on Tuesday that they are no longer part of the medical services of the first team. Nogueira and Munill will replace them. The current physical trainer, Roca, will also leave. Torres takes his place.

It was good that Laporta did not travel to Qatar, I think the Qataris were looking for that photo-op to showcase and elevate their status (having forced the president of the club to travel there to negotiate the signing of Xavi).

On the other hand, Laporta just couldn't keep hiring people that he knew into key positions inside the club, regardless of their experience and expertise.

https://www.2playbook.com/clubes/ba...eus-deportiu-como-director-asia_5706_102.html

Bryan Bachner, the guy who Laporta just hired to replace Jordi Camps (the head of the HK office before becoming the commercial director of the club, who ended up resigning after Laporta took over due to differences with the vision of the club in the commercial sector), is an old acquaintance of Laporta's, with whom and Joan Oliver Fontanet (Barca's CEO between 2008 and 2010 under Laporta) together had some failed endeavors, for example buying Reus Deportiu and bankrupting it later. Bryan Bachner is based in Beijing right now and his dealings involve the FC BIT Beijing, a miserable second division football club that will relegate. His field is apparently law and investment, what the heck does he know about the commercial and branding business?

The above 2Playbook article provides a list of acquaintances Laporta has hired into the club since he took over in April:

- Pere Lluis Mellado, the head of Barca's legal services. He worked for the club between 2004 and 2010 and was secretary of the board of directors of Reus Deportiu with Joan Oliver Fontanet.
- Manana Giorgadze, Laporta's trusted person in his law firm and now chief of staff
- Manana Giorgadze's daughter, Paloma Mikadze, was appointed head of digital strategy with significant internal opposition to the perception that the responsibilities that are assumed to the position do not match her experience
- Maite Laporta, Laporta's sister was hired for the previously non-existent position of head of diversity and inclusion
- Marta Segu, hired to to lead Barca Foundation
- Jordi Portabella, the head of the sustainability area. The former ERC politician ran for mayor of Barcelona City Council in 2011 through a coalition with Laporta, who was his No.2 in the Unitat per Barcelona (UxB) candidacy. It is unknown what his experience is in this area, key especially in the development of Espai Barca
- Xavier Budo, from the sports area, and Alex Barbany, at the head of income, played an active role during the electoral campaign

Real Madrid just signed two global sponsors within the last 30 days or so (Abbott and Adobe) while we have had almost zero movement in that area since Laporta took over (Allianz and Caixa Bank renewed, that was it). It appears Laporta is not hiring people based on their talent rather whether or not he knows them or trusts them enough.
