The thing is, doesn't LaLiga signing the CVC deal with 17 clubs (+LL2) more or less mean that Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bilbao can look to broker their own version of the CVC deal as a trio?
If it is legally able so, they can sign a way better deal with another 3rd party backer together.
They would provide the benefits of what the CVC should bring to the LaLiga growth as a whole (a greater marketing product for LaLiga and better infrastructure of the lesser clubs) while also providing more stability than the CVC gives (guarantee of Barcelona, Madrid and Bilbao not leaving the top flight, no issues of what happens with repayments and funding allocations of clubs who drop out of LaLiga).

The time to sign it was with Messi
Depay sucks and he was kept OVER Messi. But Morata sucks even more than Depay and is 2 years older. Xavi is now becoming Spanish obssessed. Dest is a fine young player why get rid of him. Feran is a HUGE question mark vs a proven players like Haaland. This seems like the Barto Regime Part 2.

Barca did not chose Depay over Messi and Morata is a better CF than Depay who can be relied on to at least control ball more often and lead the line.

True. Even that would improve our #9 spot.
We have to raise funds right now and there are only a few players in the squad that we are willing to let go, probably begrudgingly, on order to raise those funds. Nobody is going to take Umtiti and Coutinho due to their ridiculously high wages so we have to make some tough decisions. Dest probably isn't going to get to the level we need him to so it makes sense to sell him so we can bring in better players.
And, other then some random rumors, are there any credible links for Morata coming here. Reeks of nothing more then an agent using the club for the benefit of his client to me.

He wanted to keep Messi on 50m a season not get rid of him.
Very nearly took the CVC deal to do it before was advised it was risking too much in future of club and not decision current club board could/should commit to.
