However then you also got the likes of Suarez who was signed for 'mere' €81m.

We are not driving the market up at all, but EPL and PSG are. Only good example for us would be Neymar, but it is hard to argue that his price was wrong?

In addition we make class players available for pocket-change, that must cool down the market a little in terms of our contribution?

I don't think many players would turn us down unless they are offered something like double somewhere else. If Stones did turn us down because of money then he is an idiot, to give up the chance to play at such a club with the players we have and to live in a great city to join Man City is not a good move.

He might not have a choice. He still has 3 years on his contract and if Everton are offered twice as much then they could say City or else stay.
