Yep, he asked to be released from the friendly... I expect him to be in the starting eleven in the first leg.
Also Keita is not in the list for Mali friendly match with Guinea. So there is our second player in the midfield area.

I see Jona's involved in a mini sex scandal in Mehico.

Photos of Mexican team players, including Jonathan dos Santos, with two girls in presumably a hotelroom have caused some upset in Mexico.

He doesn't exactly have the build of a DM... I'm still hoping he molds into a Xavi replacement, he is very patient with his build up play and hustles to open up and receive the ball all over the field, just like Xavi.

What about Claude Makelele? He was only 5'7", which is the same height as Messi and he didn't exacly look like the type of build who can play that role, yet he's one of the best(if not THE best) defensive midfielders I have personally seen. So size doesn't always matter.

It was, but I also think its what he was talking about. Its kind of silly to say that you don't need to be great at tackling to be a DM in a more attacking position. We need somebody who can clog the middle of the field and stop counter attacks or else we will constantly be caught defending with only 2-3 people.

I meant to say he doesn't have to be a Mascherano-esque destroyer, if he knows how to make simple tackles and break up play, he has the qualities to play as a DM in our system because from what I've seen of him he's good at pressuring the opponents, maintaining possession and making short, simple passes.

The good
He said he wants to take the number 4 after Maquez's departure,Cesc is going to be crazy.

There are very fw old fashioned defensive midfielders like Mascherano,Dont like this type of defensive midfielders TBH.
