Another hat-trick today, 45 goals now, and this guy was not good enough for our first team. Zubizarreta, the most incompetent sporting director the club has ever had :bash:

Haven't really seen him since he left the B team but he really should go to a better league. Would be interesting as hell to see him at Atletico to be honest.

In a recent interview with him i read, he said he recieved several offers from la liga clubs during the summer transfer window but decided to stay. He mainly cited a lack of desire to go back to Spain given the bad state of the Spanish economy. I think if he changes club for the next season, it will be for a PL or Bundesliga club. I doubt he will return to Spain.

he left because he was older and wanted to make the big bucks before he passed his prime. if I remember correctly red-bulls offer the biggest contract .

so i can't see him coming back to spain, unless its for one of the stable clubs

And today he scored his 46th goal equaling the spanish record of Telmo Zarra. Crazy to think he could still possibly reach 50 goals in the 3 games that remain.

I saw a rumor recently that stated that Lucho might be interested in him once he takes over this summer.

Like he is putting up insane numbers this season, even if it is in a 2nd tier league.

Could be our new Henrik Larsson...anyone watched him enough recently to see if he is good enough here? I stopped following him once he left and was surprised by how well he had done since he left the B team.

Jonathan Soriano (Salzburg): "I don't rule out that Luis Enrique might want to sign me. I'm good here, but who would say no to Barça?" [ser]

The Segunda is better than the Austrian league, so I dont see the point of him joining us.

Very bold statement considering Salzburg demolished teams like Ajax in the Europa League and were unlucky to drop out against Basel

Yup & he is the best goalscorer of the Europa Leauge despite not playing the whole tournament

And what does that have to do with anything? Soriano is quality player, the fact that the Austrian league can't hold a candle to Primera Division does not make HIM any less of a player. He has scored 12 goals in European matches this season, second only to Cristiano Ronaldo. He scored twice away against Ajax, a stadium where neither Neymar nor Pedro managed to score against the SAME team.

And he doesn't score only shit goals either https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KYiFPwBpnvE

This seaons in Europe, he scored the opening goal against Fenerbahçe (away), Standard Liege (home), Ajax (away) and FC Basel (home). The fact that the team could not hold it together against neither Fenerbahçe nor FC Basel is not his fault.

Totally forgot about him. He knows the playing style, he knows Enrique, is at the end of his 20s and he's about 6 ft. tall. He'd be better than guys like Cardozo as a plan B striker and also cheap. I would be totally for it.

Me too. Better than spend much, anyway. Hopefully Lucho gets him back.
