The same players also won many CLs and leagues before EV was ever relevant. Blame it all on the players, then you can't give EV credit for the leagues.

You have to look at the wider context dawg.
The players suffered two big CL defeats in the season before EV joined and continued getting humiliated after he left. If the players were suffering humiliating defeats right before and right after EV, he was not the cause of the problem.
By contrast, the players lost the league in 16-17, won it in both seasons with EV, but then haven’t won it in the two seasons since EV left. If the players weren’t winning La Liga directly before or after EV but won it with him, he clearly was a key factor in the titles.

The stupidity of both player and medical team of the club is paramount.
It could be seen from the replay that the ball crashed his weak right foot on the air. That's an ankle sprain 100% of the time.
Why on earth did he stay in another 20-25 min or so?
