Should have been told last summer he wouldnt play again and on him if stays and takes the money.

No it isnt hypocrisy and the point is not about the contract given at time as most agreed it was too much and for too long.
The issue is what should be done to try and get him out the club and should have been done sooner.

This guy needs to realize his time here is over. He needs to stop being a donkey and accept that no one wants him here anymore. Therefore, he needs to sit down with the clubs management and find a solution that would suit both parties. We can all understand that he wants to collect that huge salary next season. However, he also needs to understand that the club is broke and some kind of a solution needs to be found. Maybe a loan deal where some other club would pay a half of the salary would be a good deal for both parties. No one is saying that he should forgive his entire salary but he needs to stay open for going out on a loan.

No it isnt hypocrisy and I dont think anyone is insulting him anyway really..so no it isnt.
Hypocrisy is from the numpties who go for other players on what they earn and then for some like Pique and Alba call out others for same thing.

There are for sure clubs that would be willing to pay at least some part of his salary for one season. Xavi needs to be clear with him and tell him that he will be put on the stands. I am sure that some kind of a compromise can be found if both parties are willing to talk.
