He may end up being second choice but nothing will take the starting spot from ter Stegen, it is written

He is that good and I would not be suprised if he started the games if Stegen is unavailable

Hmmm. Then the signing of Bravo becomes a lot more confusing.

I see Bravo being bought for experience and just in case anything goes wrong (though many, me included, were against his arrival).
He'll probably be fighting for the CdR spot with Masip and sold next year for lack of playing time.

I really think Bravo was only signed because he had a great WC (hype). Jordi is just as good if not better, but he's not exactly a household name. He just quietly went about his business and was patient, even when Eusebio thought Oier or Miño was better than him. It took him longer than most to earn promotion, but that doesn't say anything about his abilities.

Supposedly yes... but if he had a poor or average WC we might have moved on to someone else. The point is that to the average (casual) fan, promoting a 25 year old from the B team doesn't look exciting enough, or that he must not be that good. Not true.

Bravo was not needed. But I guess Unzue was afraid the lack of experience could hurt the team. He and Lucho didn't want to bet on 2 really young gks. A shame, really. MAtS and Masip were enough.

Really doubt Barca would buy 2 12M-GKs if Masip was that good indeed ;)

Someone hasn't been watching Barca B it seems.

ter Stegen and Masip will without a doubt be the ones fighting for the starting spot. Bravo is decent I guess but he's far too prone to making massive mistakes, as seen in exhibit A and exhibit B:

And those are just the ones he made against Madrid and Barca. There were many more in just that season alone. I honestly don't know why they felt the need to bring him in but Masip is certainly good enough to displace him from the team if Lucho does indeed give him as fair a chance as Bravo and ter Stegen to impress.

Masip was awesome, simply awesome for Barca B.

Could have got Willy. He said there were some talks with Barcelona, but nothing happened after that.
