It is, & yep very stupid.

But it was either that, or you pay him is current salary the way its constructed or buy him out.

I think they will end up buying out most of these older players who restructured there contracts to have us save some money in the short term.

They are clearly banking on things picking up in a year or two and they will buy him out, but for now they will save a few million.
