These deals were happening even under Laporta's administration (Keirrison, Henrique) . They have Barto's/Rossell's fingerprints all over them judging by what come after Laporta left, but when Laporta was President he would at least be implicated.

Which makes me wonder with the timing, if it is something that could sabotage his election bid.

Him going to jail would be great/deserved, but even more important would be to also freeze/seize his assets until he's made to pay everything that he stole back to the club. Like those found guilty of fraud are made to pay back everything to their victims. Would probably slash our debt by half or more right away. And only then send him to prison.
