Untill Zlatan farewells goodbye, i would not say that i am happy.. It would be a good team upfront with those 5.. But without Zlatan..

But i am still doubtfull for the middlefield.. If Yaya is gone, who would play the DM? Busquets only? Iniesta is getting injured all the time.. If we dont sign cesc, we must at least keep Hleb..

Based on last 12 months which is more relevant than 2 seasons ago? Besides, Pedro didn't even play first team football so how can you compare Mata's 3 season to Pedro's one?
Based on last season Pedro is better than Mata.

If I were you I wouldn't worry about Iniesta injuries/signing Cesc birdy... Especially after watching Messi in the World Cup!!

Marquez could be a backup DM but Barca will probably go for another DM.

For all the talk about Pedro not being a first team player, he's played 2943 min compared to Mata's 3379; which is only like 4 full matches less!! Pedro started 31 matches to Mata's 38 matches... While people talk about stats, Mata's played only 3 matches as a striker(during which he scored 2 and gave an assist) while Pedro played 24 matches in more of central role(he's officially started as winger but spent most of the time in center)!!

This isn't at all to under-rate our dear Pedro's phenomenal season, he's been like our 2nd or 3rd best player last season... but just to remind that Mata's is not as worse as some people would love to make it look like over here!! He's been one of the most important players for Valencia in earning them the CL spot

Barca's transfer dependency on Asurian Madridistas is getting quite concerning to be honest. You'll be signing up Fernando Alonso to drive the team bus next.

So that's Villa and then potentially Mata to Barcelona and Silva to City? Valencia need to sell players, but it's bad times for them.

Looks like La Ligas teams(other than the top 2) are getting worse and worse, quality wise, as the season's go on.

I'd personally like to see Mata stay at Valencia. Barcelona don't need him right now and it's also good to see top talent spread out through different teams.

Villarreal, Sevilla, Ath. Madrid!?

I've got a feeling Sevilla may lose Fabiano and I also wouldn't be suprised to see Aguero or Forlan go.

This is a worry for La Liga as a whole.

You look at the second round of fixtures in the world cup tournament and 5 la liga players scored 2 or more goals:

Gonzalo Higuain(Real Madrid, Argentina) - 3
David Villa(Barcelona, Spain) - 2
Diego Forlan(Atletico Madrid, Uruguay) - 2
Luis Fabiano(Sevilla, Brazil) - 2
Tiago(Atletico Madrid, Portugal) - 2

(Yes I know Tiago is actually a Juventus player, but spent time on loan at Atletico last season and looks set to make the perminant move)

Now this looks good on La Liga, but if these players start leaving, it's not good signs.

The good thing about La Liga, is it produces top young players and clubs also turn players into greats, so I see the league continue to grow, but it would be better to see clubs from other league's become weakened by Barcelona's transfer policy rather than fellow La Liga clubs, if you get what I mean? The more strength in other teams other than the top 2, the better.

Oh yeah and Uche, as he scored yesterday meaning he's up there on the list aswell now. I was only really counting the players who had scored 2 or more goals during the one game in the second round of matches though.

But yeah, It just show's how much quality La Liga has, as all these players don't just play for Barcelona and Madrid, they are all spread out between different cubs.

Messi could and should have been another on that list also. But he is still giving a good advertisment for the league as he has been great and probably Argentinas best player as a whole and I expect him to score soon enough.

What I hope, is that all these players stay in the league and don't move on after the world cup's over.

Fabiano is set to sign renewal as some his latest interviews suggest

Forlan is set to stay, and I really have huge expectations on Ath. Madrid for next season! If they could use the cash they get from Aguero's transfer wisely they could be quite some team next season!! It'd be all the more sweet if they deal with Juventus exclusively, for Tiago & Diego!!

Villarreal may also strengthen

Valencia are not exactly deteriorating... They already showed their intent by signing the likes of Soldado, Feghouli, Topal, etc. They are having a very good transfer season, really wise moves

Sevilla are gearing up for one of their trademark mega deals involving a youth product... if only Navas doesn't choke under pressure at the WC!!

Valencia's Spanish international forward Juan Mata will sign for Barcelona for five years in a deal worth €20 million, Radio Marca reported.

The 22-year-old, who has a contract with Valencia until 2012, will follow in the footsteps of former Valencia striker David Villa who joined Barcelona last month for €40 million.

Barcelona's incoming president Sandro Rosell had promised to recruit Mata who is on coach Pep Guardiola wanted list and heavily endebted Valencia agreed to the operation because the club needs to raise cash, the radio station said.

Mata is currently with the Spain squad at the World Cup in South Africa.

His arrival at Barcelona will fuel speculation over the future of Barcelona's Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic who ended the season on the substitute's bench and reportedly wants to leave the Spanish champions

Once again, Valencia is denying this story. Don't believe everything the tabloid scum say. Mata himself won't even comment.

Someone doesn't know their history.

Talk of Valencia's demise is premature. They need to sell but they are also bringing in some highly rated replacements. It turns out Silva is a cunt who is forcing his way out but the club has been preparing for an exodus, bringing in not only Soldado as a Villa replacement but Feghouli as a potential Silva replacement and Chori Dominguez.
