Jude Bellingham

Maybe I am too harsh on him, Gato. Maybe you are right.

I just can't get into him as a player. I have already noted that I suspect I am a contrarian, so his excessive hype and 'conventional' nature likely puts me off him.

After today's debate, have to clarity. Talking about his looks or performance?
Lol good one.

Nah seriously though, I don't care about his looks. His performance. He just isn't a CM, he can't control games or play the short game. He's definitely better when prowling or advancing into the box like this era's Lampard (though Lampard had better controlling abilities than him too).

The guy just seems too much of a moments player for me. But like I say, I am willing to admit I am something of a contrarian and disgusted by his arse-kissing PR so I may be underrating him to compensate for it.

Ancelotti played him as RM most of the game, he had no chance there.

Bellingham is good player, let's not fool ourselves there, but he isn't a technical genius.

RM misses Kroos badly, which many has predicted. Other than 39 years old Modric, they have no technical genius in that midfield, it hurts them and makes that team a bad fit for it's own players. The quality of the team is well below the sum of it's parts.

He is so stiff and turns like a tractor which is a terrible trait for a midfielder to have. He looked half pissed trying to even control the ball and fell over it on most occasions.

A Barca player would be absolutely rinsed on here after that performance. We don't have to worry about that though, because Jude would get nowhere near the Barca first team.

Pedri, Olmo are stratospheres clear. Need to see more of Casado, Gavi and Fermin to judge whether they are streets clear too.

He had nsane half a season, but then went back to his level.. Now looks the same shit level.
Yes, he already declined in the second half of the season, but still rode his stats of his honeymoon phase and winning LL and CL helped too of course. He plays like this already longer than the other way around.

He's a good player but he's not a plug and play player for all roles and positions, which is what happens when you need to shoehorn big star players in an unbalanced squad.

When they said pedri doesn't score enough, compared to

Jude
Simon
Wirtz

I said, Silva, carzola, Iniesta, any number of Spanish AM/CM didn't score a lot either, but you wouldn't drop that deep and try to turn them into some kind of Pirlo, because it's the CM in the AM/CM hybrid that makes them special, it's what makes pedri special.

I said these other guys are nothing new, neither is pedri to be clear, they are just another in a long line of prototype midfielders their country's tend to produce and in that game, the Spanish midfielder will always come out on top.

Jude is a fine player, but he's just another lampard, making late runs is what makes him "special" at the most you could be another Gerrard who had a more rounded game that lampard, but he still has some work to do.

He was made to play at the top of a diamond like he did last season, go back to than or sell him in two years to Liverpool or Chelsea.
