Juliano Belletti joins the Barça Atlètic coaching staff as Rafa Márquez's assistant coach. The former Brazilian player, who wore the shirt of Barça's first team between 2004 and 2007 and was the protagonist of the achievement of the Champions League in Paris in 2006 with the decisive goal, will develop a work similar to that of recent months in the coaching staff of Juvenil A.

Before returning to Barça, retired as a player, Belletti had had two experiences on the benches. In 2021 he was assistant coach in the first team of Cruzeiro EC, and from September 2022 to June 2023 he was the coach of the U-20 team of Sao Paulo FC.

@Porque Your take on mister Belletti?

For me he's doing good especially considering lot of players who would be eligible to play for his team are already in Barca Atletic.

Wonder if the plan is to promote him to BA next season and bring along Juvenil A players he works with this season.

Missed this.

Deserves the B shot as rumours say based off of this season. Having a great JuvenilA season which, history may be kinder to, but doesn't look to have any elite talents.

Guille, Ton Ee, Jofre (injured and now in B), Pedro Soma (now in B). That's 4 of the best starters progressed from this group.

Diarra might be, but I am not including him based on his arrival, adaption and minutes.

You don't like those poor man's Thiago touches and movement?

His issue is progressive passes and press resistance.

Taking the level from kidball to proball. For the U19 he was way above the level and better than Farinas, who has looked top lately though. Set to leave according to Sport today btw.

Another season in B and then we can assess.

But I agree, low chances he makes it here.
