Why is "chokers/bottlers" a thing now, whenever some team is losing?
Choking is losing a game you should be winning, Ajax simply outplayed Juve all game, thats not choking, thats just being worse.

Are you ok? Juventus' main aim this season was to win the CL after 22 years of not being able to do it and losing countless of finals in the process (1997, 1998, 2003, 2015, 2018) in that time period (1996-2018). They spent €100 million on the supposed "CL GOAT" as well as a combined net spend of almost €150 million only to do worse than last season and going out against some kids (Ajax Amsterdam) while getting outplayed in the process in both games. A club (Ajax Amsterdam) that are in another galaxy compared to Juve in terms of financial muscles. It's a joke and a huge disappointment. No domestic double either despite having no competitors in the two domestic tournaments. Talk about failure.
All that after their comeback against Atlético and talk about them being poised to at least reach the final if not outright win it now that they had C. Ronaldo.
Them going out, against Ajax of all teams, is great, great stuff. While being completely outplayed in the process. Ajax could have won 5-1 and it would have been thoroughly deserved.

If Juve was the side dominating and creating chances, then yeah, maybe it would be bottling, but they never had the opportunity to even bottle it.
Im simply annoyed that people are using the phrase without knowing what it means.

You don't get it. Juve's main aim (sole aim as they were guaranteed a scudetto even before a ball was kicked prior to this season with or without CR7) was to win the CL. They failed yet again. Spectacularly. Against Ajax Amsterdam of all teams. So yes, they choked once again. As usual. Very simple. Don't care about how often or in what circumstances other people are using the word "choking" in. For me Juve choked in the CL this season. Already argued why that is. End of story.

Juve losing to Ajax home is like Barca losing to As Roma last season. Bottling and choking hard.. No excuse for them.

I felt exactly the same with people saying ‘the fairyale continues’ for Ajax.
They are simply outperforming their opposition and deserve to be where they at.
