Even Zidane could only properly voice his admiration for Messi since he left Real Madrid as a manager.
And after he won the World Cup he's been even more vocal about it.

But that's just former legends in general though.

De Bruyne is much better than Kaka. Kaka was great in his prime but was also a pace merchant. As soon as he lost some of his speed he became average player.

Zidane was also better. Does Messi/Iniesta count as attacking midfielder??
