Hitting the post 3 times implies the guy was unlucky and could have had 3 goals. If you hit a post on a sitter or an empty net then its a different thing.

I would be happy if suarez hit the post 3 times a match and not score. But suarez doesn't come anywhere close to scoring and plays terribly in other areas too.

Benzema is still much better than Suarez at this point, his link up with Ronaldo is phenomenal unlike Suarez who constantly mispasses or just fail to keep up with the link up plays.

If he was awful he would be missing the target completely. He can't hit the post intentionally, hitting the post is more close to scoring than missing. The fact that he is hitting too many posts means he is just unlucky.

Not able to understand why they gave contract extension other than to drive contract price up. He gave us nightmare some times though.

Extensions in the past 2 years were driven purely as a BBC commitment. Bale was first to extend if I’m not mistaken, then Cristiano committed to wrap up by 2021. Benzema got one basically for being a conflictless lapdog. Not sure why his interplay is hyped as much as it is, especially in that system where 2 strikers up top need to provide. Only on form Bale is allowed to compete since ZZ notices Isco’s style doesn’t fully mesh yet and sucked out creativity from Marcelo who’s been our 2nd most important playmaker for years on end.

This debate is a bit tiresome though. Dude is talented but fucked in the head and patting him on the back is something Zidane will probably come to regret. But then again I like he’s willing to put his head on the block for anyone on that team. Clearly he has more pedigree higher up than Ancelotti who also inspired tremendous loyalty in the team.

He just managed it in the dying games of last season, 2 goals in 14 appearances, needs 8 in the last 15(?), can Benzema repeat the glorious 10+ goals for yet another season?
