Keylor Navas

Neither Bale nor CR moved last minute tho. But then again it's easier to integrate a keeper than an offensive star.

[Cadena SER] Keylor Navas won't join Costa Rica NT until Tuesday. He'll wait in Spain to know if he stays at Real Madrid or not.

Sucks for Navas if he gets pushed out like this.

Don't do this Floro. There is no need for any of this until next summer.

Apparently is being forced into this transfer by Real, bad move if true, need a focused keeper. Found out he is only 28, makes no sense why Real never let him blossom with his ability.

20-30 mill + Navas for ddg? My guess is that this is all on Perez, up to his usual bs again. We can wait until next year, get him for free, Navas is a very good gk.

Perez talked about "spanifying" RM or whatever on multiple occasions and atm Sergio Ramos is the only starting Spanish player. An article was published today that Real Madrid never had more nations in our starting lineup. The last time was in like 1996/97 where we had 8, against Betis we had 9 (Costa Rica, Brazil,Spain,France,Croatia,Germany,Portugal,Wales, Colombia). That's the first factor. The 2nd factor is that Real Madrid had their goalkeeper start for Spanish NT for such a long time that Perez doesn't want to break the tradition. Or to be more precise he can't afford that. This way DDG will play for us and he'll be the starting GK fairly soon. 3rd factor is that Perez is feeling the pressure. Disappointing season, 1 La Liga in 6-7 years, sacking fan and player favorite coach Carlo to bring in freaking Rafa Benitez. Not to mention the biggest factor which is letting Casillas go in such a shitty way. Fans chanted "Bring De Gea" or whatever when Danilo was being presented. It makes perfect sense that Perez would be willing to do anything to bring DDG this summer. Now we'll have 2 starting Spanish players(kinda 3 if Carvajal begins starting again) and this is the exact reason that we'll buy-back Morata next season. It's also why we bought Asensio,Vallejo and why we'll be chasing Gaya,Ceballos and possibly players like Paco Alcacer soon.

I am still convinced Bravo is a better keeper but this is a good deal for Perez.
He'll make the fans happy, get a (young) Spaniard in and shirts will sell. And don't underrate this whole last minute transfer thing. People talk about Madrid and buzz greases the marketing engine.
