Don't get me wrong, I think Koke is great, but I disagree about what the team needs. The rumours about Valverde taking over, plus Messi wanting to play in the middle, plus Rakitic signing a new long term contract, to me signals playing with Valverde's favoured 4-2-3-1 formation next season. Messi in the middle of the 3 with Busi and Rakitic making up the 2 just behind him. If we are looking at midfielders to replace Rakitic in that formation then I'm guessing a Fabinho type will be the target. All guess work at this point though of course until our new coach is confirmed.

We should be all over this guy this summer. World class young midfielder, regular starter at ATM since he was 19 year old, proven time and time again just how good he is. On top of that, he's spanish, would easily gel with the team and I don't know if I ever heard he was injured. I reckon ATM would sell him for cca 60 mil, he's got two years left in his contract. This lad can be perfect signing for us.

Will most likely stay in Atletico his entire career and end his career as one of their best, if not their best player in history.

Except for the last part I totally agree but some other shady transfer deal is the last thing that we need at this moment.

If he wanted a move then he would have pushed for it by now.

Cant see any way he leaves this summer when Atletico are still strong and are moving into a new stadium.

They would sell Griezmann before giving up Koke I think as he is more symbolic.

I think Koke is better than any of our midfielders as well. He is a very complete midfielder imo. But won't happen. With how Atletico is doing in Europe, they can compare to both Barca and Madrid, so no need for him to achieve glory somewhere else than at his favourite club.

Koke great. However, dont think he is ideal for Barcelona.

Barcelona needs a dynamic midfielder imo in the mold of

Thiago, Verratti or Modric. Koke is more of an industrial hard working midfielder like Rakitic has become for barcelona and will probably end up like him if he comes to this team.

Koke is better on the ball, better going forward and stronger defensively.

If they are to be compared Rakitic is just an inferior version.

He is much better than Rakitic. Koke has better skills, is a better passer too. Better at keeping possession and defending as well.
