They're in a different class because they're roughly at their peak in their 30s and Mbappe is 20. You don't know whether he'll be in their class or not. Nobody knows. Cristiano sucked when he was 20. He was a headless chicken in his first years at MU.

What is sure is he already has more World Cup trophies than both combined and more UCL goals than either of them at his age. It doesn't mean he will be better or worse, nobody knows.

Of course he is unlikely to reach the level of Messi and Ronaldo but still he is one of the best players of the newer generation, if not the best.

He struck me previously as a very mature person, don't know if he will continue to be. Hype or not, if he goes to Real Madrid it will be a big blow to us.

He idolized CR7 so of course he has a penchant for theatrics and a tremendous ego.

Question is whether he can channel that narcissism towards a staggering goal output for 15 years in succession.

My bet is a firm NO.

Only Messi and CR7 have pulled off such a level of sustained dominance in last 100 years at the absolute highest level.

And they were playing in a much tougher league, which helps a lot in development.
