They have a contract. That doesn't state they are obliged to extend it. You can't use this as an excuse. FIFA rules actually protect players in such situations, Rabiot isn't same class as Mpabbe and the club can easily warrant not playing him for less than a season. Can't do that for Mpabbe if you sit him that long.
You sat on negotiating table when Neymar asked out, you will do the same for Mpabbe if he does the same. His father/agent is smarter than Rabiot mom.
Clubs will pay what you want for him happily. And he will break Neymar record easily.
