A few years ago we bought David Villa, the best spanish striker of all time for 40m. In todays market a nobody like Sigurdsson goes for more. Bottom line is times have changed and today 120m isnt that much money at all, and now PSG have probably made the prices go even further up by activating Neymars clause which is more than double the world record fee paid for Pogba. Its just insane.

That is because none of the potential 100m transfers have gone through. Verratti would have been 100+, Coutinho will according to rumours go for 100+, Mbappe will most probably go for 100+ when Monaco sell him and Dembele will go for 90 (which is close to 100). And oh, Neymar just went for 222m

Thats just because there hasnt been any huge transfers this season apart from Neymar and he went for over 200m. Lukaku? That guy went for 100m euros and he can barely control the ball. Players like Mbappe have the trajectory of all time greats. That will cost ALOT.

I think its bs. I dont think they can ask for that much money simply because his contract only runs for another 2 years and nobody will pay that much. They dont have so many alternatives. Either sell him now for a high fee or risk getting less next summer or hell maybe even 0. Interested clubs can wait and instead of paying 180m to Monaco they can offer huge sign on bonuses and high wages to the player himself instead and end up paying less.

We have a huge opportunity here. We have the funds to cash him if we want (should be tempting to Monaco, might even sell for lower fee) and we can offer him a starting spot on LW/LF. We should go for it.
