If net this is really just a final Messi contract, which isn't all that outlandish. But if gross then it's obviously double and scales to 3-years rather than 5-6 that are normally negotiated
The 250M USD figure quoted from NY times has already been passed around in Guardian reports from end May just after the transfer so really the 'size' of contract is nothing new
Think it wasn't clear how much he'd get for the signature, but even that is not so surprising. RM saved more than 200 to bring him anticipating it
