Kylian Mbappé

DonAK

President of FC Barcelona
Seemed pretty calm about getting eliminated this season. Sounds like even he had no faith in this team

What an indictment on Nasser and Campos.

Stopped easily. He can't do shit against low blocks.

This! I can't remember one big game where he delivered against a low block. His speed is essential for his style of play. If you narrow the space behind the ball and put a fast and strong CB on his back he begins to struggle. In some ways he is similar to Vinicius.

Doesn't look nearly as threatening as a CF.

True.

People kept talking of how Vini could play at the left, Mbappe as striker if he went here, but he isn't really a striker.

Reminds me when Mourinho tried to play Cristiano at CF, it just didnt work that well, and so was quickly moved back to his actual position.

PSG better in the first leg with Neymar and Messi than Mbappe and Messi.

There's a reason for that and it's not offensive talent.

It's coz Mbappe is a fuckin Diva and runs less than Messi.

Messi averaged 7.82km per game which is fuckin diabolical. But he is 36 almost so. BUT 24 year old Baguette averaged 7.71km!

Let that sink in.

Same problems we had in latter years. You can build and work around one non pressing forward, but not two. And certainly not in the top tier games where the opposition has 1 player covering the distance of these 2.

Incredible elite level bursts, but absolutely worrying to have such work ethic at his age. PSG is building a monster that perhaps even Florontino won't want now.

It was the exact issue that many highlighted and expected. Although i think his ego is somewhat spiralling out of control, probably exasperated by the WC final hat-trick.

I do think Mbappe will be an all timer, but up against a defender with pace he is not half as effective. He then really just fades out of games and doesn't try to offer anything else.
