Getting a player that wont track back, is on more money than actual UCL-winners, will push said UCL-winners out of the team in the medium-long term.
Yeah, something happened alright, lets hope his finishing skills makes up for it.

He is the better of the two talent-wise but Vini had the better year this season. Imo, Mbappe's capital tumbled these past few years when he decided to stay at QSG. And no I don't care or count the 2 penalty hattrick in the WC final.

Morten has the most reasonable take on overrated Gros Melon Mpastèque over here. I OTT the trollin but fact is, Turtle been shying into his shell in the big games, can't dribble to save his life, sucks at aerial duels and making runs into space, zero defensive output
If that's the Best Player in the World, than level of the game has fallen of the cliff big time
miss me with all that hype shiiii I'd take Eze & Olise over him at 1/10th of the salary

What got me the most, watching him against Dortmund(I don't watch ligue 1) was exactly that, how poor his dribbling was, regressed quite a bit in that department.
Its very much not clear cut he is better than Vinicius, and certainly not in terms of dribbling and work rate, very important attributes on the wing.
People talk as if this is like Robinho vs CR back in the days, when the latter was a clear upgrade on the former, this is not that simple.
Mbappe has to fit in as a number 9, because moving Vinicius away from the wing is just dumb.

Carlo adapts to the player at his disposal, so that's is probably unlikely, I see a 4-2-3-1, with valvedre, cama and tchoua, rotating in the double pivot, so they can fit all 4 of their attacking in the starting XI.
