Straight red card for Miranda on the stroke of half time.

Torres subbed off for Gimenez straight after.

Come on Espanyol!! 0-0 at halftime.

Atletic discipline been a disgrace this season.

The amount of suspensions they have had has fucked up their season.

Team of thugs.

The worse they play, the rougher they foul. They are on a very poor run right now, accumulating lots of suspensions. Can't see them challenging for the title at all and they could struggle against Valencia for 3rd. CL is a whole other story. Hope Cholo gets the incentive to move Koke to the center. A lot less need to be physical when they play a good counterattacking and passing game (which they are capable of at their top level).

That should be a multiple game ban and a big fine in my opinion. I mean, contrast that with Suarez's bite on Chiellini. Which is worse for the other player? Suarez was out for many months...

It's interesting how Atletico is on a really poor form recently and they still managed to destroy RM with a stunning 4-0 just 1 month ago.

I had a great admiration for Atletico, especially after their spectacular performances in the last season, both in La Liga and CL. Somehow this admiration has gradually faded this season. I've seen them heavily defending and parking the bus against Sevilla, not allowing a fluent game, typically anti-football style.

I do hope though, as for every other Spanish team left in Europe, (except Villarreal that is facing Sevilla and especially except RM that I despise) that they go as far as possible in the CL.

If they drop points today, which is very likely with a bit more than 10 minutes left to the end and them playing with 1 player less after that stupid and brutal elbowing from Miranda, it will be an interesting fight for the 3rd and 4th places until the end of the season, with Sevilla being just down the throats of both Atletico and Valencia.
