This season we have improved greatly with those compared to the last few seasons where every corner conceded or cross towards Alves side was a goal.

We have yet to see what sort of defensive shift Messi will put in on the right wing against such an opponent. In the 4-3 Clasico last season and in the 1-3 Clasico this season the right Barca side got manhandled and it wasn't solely down to Alves. On the other hand Madrid's attacking strategy is so obvious that measuremeants should be taken to deal with it accordingly if Lucho is worth his wages.

Agreed. This will force Carvajal/Marcelo to stay back and, sometimes, for Bale/Ronaldo to track back as well. They won't be able to play the way they usually do. And then their centerbacks have to deal with.
