In a pulsating game, Sevilla just beat Villarreal by 2-1. Villarreal went ahead in the 79th minute after an excellent combination between Cani and Vietto. Then Denis Suarez equalized with two minutes from time. In injury time, Sevilla won a contentious penalty which Bacca duly converted.

Sevilla are now joined top with us on the Liga table and one point ahead of Real Madrid.

That Villarreal goal was a thing of sheer beauty! Reminded me of our great goals at our absolute pomp between 2008 and 2011.

Cordoba has sacked Albert Ferrer. Guy took over the team when they were relegation fodder and was the one who brought them back up again in La Liga after 40+ years. Cordoba has got off to a bad start yes, but to sack a guy who did all that after just 8 games?

What a shame.

The defender I don't agree, but nothing controversial about Keylor taking it. He was absolutely magisterial last season despite a poor start. That said, if he was still at Levante, I doubt he 'd be recognized, which is a shame, as players from low-mid table clubs barely win such awards when pitted against the heavyweights.

Nah. Zamora Trophy is for most clean sheets. You can be an inferior GK, but have less goals conceded because of having a better defence/playing for a better team.
