I dont know why real madrid is still considered one of the best teams in the world when considered the fact that they did not win much in last 10 years. Atletico are better than them is many ways they have more trophies than real madrid in last 5 years. They have a better philosophy and fixed style of play compared to their city rivals. They spend far far less than what real has spent in recent years.
IMO diego simeone is the most underrated coach, What he did with atletico is far beyond possible i mean to be able to compete with barca and madrid half of the season and including europe success with not much financial support. All this with the loss of their best player this year.
It would be sad if they did not any trophies this year overpowered(financially) by two best teams in this world. I think barca and real madrid became too powerful financially making themselves unreachable. There has to be a solution to this problem of liga like TV rights. And youth products of la liga clubs are constantly shipped to england and other countries. If i would not have been a barca fan i would definitely become a atletico fan for the brave fight they are putting against Powerhouses of la liga. I hope it gets noted i hope they become successful and first eliminate their city rivals of all competitions this season.

Baptistao started his first game on loan at Betis, and he's easily their best player so far. Several nice linkups and dribbles, almost scored a few times as well. The kid has a lot of potential to be Atletico's next great striker, but he's still raw and just needs to get efficient with his output.
