cmon, what should deportivo do? if some team bend over to madrid its espanyol, if bale was in offside position on the first goal, it should be called because he was in front of goalkeeper.

I doubt any complacency will set in for RM at this point, if they drop points here, it will be because they get outplayed.

Overall, including this match they have a chance to really build some momentum and give Zidane some confidence as their next 5 are pretty winnable.

Interesting. The fullbacks and wingers seem to be swapping spots.

I balked at rumors the team were playing shitty on purpose with Rafa but they certainly look a lot more motivated here.

INB4 Real Madrid state media (Pedrerol, Roncero, Edu Aguirre, Nacho Pena, Alfredo Duro) begin their campaign

Deportivo is not playing that bad at all, they did not bend over to Real Madrid. They actually had almost equal number of shots and 2 more corners than Real Madrid in the first half. That Lucas guy is too wasteful.

Real Madrid is playing better, at least they have adequate support in the midfield. Kroos is still quite invisible, I thought.

Exactly, Lucas Perez is having a stinker from the looks of it but there's no bending over at all, defensively RM still look very shaky!

They do look better in midfield and attack though. And yeah, very motivated, surprisingly..

Yup, one striking difference today is that Real Madrid players are all running like crazy and it is much more fluid than many games under Benitez. Considering this is just their first game under Zidane, very impressive already.
