It was expected. Basques had that tough game in Valencia just 3 days ago and Espanyol welcomed some suspended players and look deserved in the lead now.

At least it looks like Krychowiak is back, right?
In any case, you had loads of absentees at the Camp Nou too, and still gave one hell of a fight there. Play like that again tonight and you'll come away with points.

Yep Krycho is back, fortunately. However, he is still not 100% match fit as he hasn't played for almost 2 months and he debuted only late in the match vs. Basel. He'll definitely start though.

Why is Konoplyanka not playing more this season? When you signed him I was expecting him to become unquestionable starter. I don't watch all Sevilla games but every time that I've seen him it looks like he has played well. But still for some reason Emery doesn't seem to trust him too much. There were also rumours some weeks ago that Sevilla is ready to sell him to EPL in summer.

Konoplyanka failed to meet his big expectations. He is just an average winger as it seems. He shined in a couple of matches (vs. RM at home, vs. Villarreal at home and now and then with glimpses of brilliance), but that's it. The management and especially Emery expected way more from him. He will probably be sold during the summer, and since he has been signed for free, we can make a profit there. To put it on perspective, he is maybe just a tiny bit better than Deulofeu... which doesn't cut it for Sevilla at this point.

I still believe Espanyol will return to the relegation zone, just look at their up-coming fixtures.

Málaga (A)
Atletico (H)
Levante (A)
Celta (H)
Las Palmas (A)
Sevilla (H)
Barca (A)
Eibar (H)

They'll drop a lot of points in these games.

I hope Espanyol stays up. Even though the derbies have turned violent this year I like the fact it's a Catalan derby. Would be a shame not to have one in Primera.

Less Madrid derbies is more ideal. Down with Getafe and Rayo please!

Nah let them rot. Risk is high playing them, especially with injuries. They can nick a point or two from us as well, and Real gets their B team for Ronaldo to get his pichici. Dont see a single reason why anyone would want this fucks to stay in 1st division.

Who in the blue hell would want Rayo to get relegated? One of the most entertaining teams in La Liga.

Come on, Sevilla. Win your first away game in league this season at the Bernabau. Would be hilarious.

Such a fucking shame Konoplyanka got injured as Danilo is playing as RB again today. Butchered him last time they played.

That's a fucking definition of a defensive line-up by Sevilla .

It's smart. Too many teams bending over at the Bernabau with naive tactics. Gameiro can really hurt them on the counter. One of the paciest players in the league and in great form recently.

sevilla missing krohn-delhi, banega and konoplyanka, pretty much their best attacking options
