My man Cuenca! Was hoping Granada would finally go down, but I'm glad he's still in La Liga. Hope he kicks on next season. Own goal next week might be nice too.

Happy for Cuenca and Rochina as well. Like Penaranda and Success too and of course fellow countryman Rene Krhin. It would be hard for him to see his team get relegated two years in a row. I just hope he'll get more trust from his coach next season.

I'm sorry that Sporting couldn't get a win at Getafe. Now Real Madrid C will most likely win against an unmotivated Betis and be saved with Sporting and Rayo going down. Two of my favourite teams among those battling against relegation, not what I was hoping for. Of course I will hope until the end that one of them will be saved and Getafe will go down. So I'm rooting for Betis, Sporting and Rayo on Sunday.

It will be also interesting to see what will happen with Paco Jemez if they are relegated. I know some people here think he's overrated (and I can agree to some extent) but overall I still like his football philosophy and would like to see him at better and financially more stable club, where he won't have to change half of his team every year. I don't think Valencia will really go after him as it was rumoured, but could see a team like Betis give him a chance.

Yeah, same. Hope Getafe go down. I was at Barca vs Granada in January, and they booed Rochina big time when he got subbed off. Never understood why.

And I'm the same on Paco - I kind of saw him in lesser light recently because of stubbornness but you would have to wonder what he would do with more resources. I highly doubt it'd be a carbon copy of Rayo teams.

Well, there goes my theory about Paco and Betis.

There are rumours lately that Asspanyol is looking at Jemez now, together with Bielsa, Sampaoli and Montanier (ex Sociedad). I like all of those coaches so I really hope they choose someone else.

I do miss watching Bielsa's[/B] teams, he was at Asspanyol once before iirc. Didn't realize they had enough pull to bring in a coach of those guys caliber, would of thought it'd be another couple years with their new found wealth before they had that kind of pull. Gonna be interesting to see who they bring in this summer, they've been saying they have access to players they previously didn't.

Guillem Balague's team of the year. Also gave Marcelino manager of the year, which was fair imo. I think if the formation is 4-2-3-1 it makes more sense.

I'm gonna go against the Barca grain here and say Bruno being in ahead of Busi has merit, though Busi was incredible before Christmas in particular. And I can't believe Iniesta is in there - Modric and Koke are way more deserving. He's surely only there on reputation at this point. Other than that, and no Atleti full backs, can't really complain.

why modric? he was also shit for big part of season under benitez and zidane for some time, had a few errors which costed real madrid losing points, remember that lost ball in el classico and villareal i think.

Iniesta was gr8 during the 1st half of the season .think he was the best midfielder by far may be until February
It is team of the season ,not team of the last couple of months .so Iniesta isn't far fetched
Balague squad is solid tbf .there will never be squad that everyone would agree with but overall it is good one

Indeed, Khaled. Iniesta had a good first half of the season, but Modric and Koke are much more important to their teams, especially when you factor in Koke's assists records. Not to mention he spent half a season trying to assist the statue that is Jackson Martinez.
