Ofc there will be more superstars in the future, but with the oil clubs in the picture, RM/Barca wont be top dogs in the market anymore.
Ofc we will still be able to buy good players, but we cant compete with QSG making big signings, we have to be smart about it.
Barca wont be able to replace Messi, regardless of money, and replacing Ronaldo is almost impossible as well.
I predict that neither team will be as dominant when they are gone, still very good obviously, but not just as consistently dominant.
We will see in a few years how it all turns out.
Barcelona and Real won't be Top2 clubs like in the last 5-10 years.
There will be 5-6 equal clubs, and Barcelona and Real will be one of them.
In the past, Barcelona and Real could have picked the best players easily, now it will be a little harder.
But for example, imagine that CR7 stopped playing football this summer.
And imagine that RM had 200-250M for 2 new players.
Look what they could have bought this summer:
Dembele 145
Dybala 120-130M (somewhat available)
Mbappe 180M if you want to break the bank
Griezmann, 100M next summer
Just in one summer, you could have bought Griezmann+Dembele, Dybala+Dembele, Dybala+Griezmann.
Even buying one of them would be a good job.
Buying 2 guys like these, and you are in top 2-3 easily again and you have 2 superstars for the next 4-5 years at least.
Messi-Cr7 was the most dominant Barca vs Real era in history.
Football, La Liga and Barca vs Real existed before Messi vs Cr7 and it will exist after them.
Ok, there won't be as much spotlight as now, but...
We'll probably return to Rivaldo vs Galacticos, or Ronaldinho vs Real era.
It won't be too bad either.
