Good old Eusebio bending over for Real Madrid again. Been absolute stellar so far this season but as soon as they face RM they crumble to bits. Thank God we got that late winner against Getafe or this would've been a nightmare of a weekend.

I fully expected Madrid to win. If it was ever going to get close, they would get a helping hand. They can't allow them to fall 6 points behind already.

Stop blaming others and giving us excuses for not winning, if we couldn't beat them it was because we sucked, we allowed them to find ways to effectively counter and nullify us, not because somehow these La Liga teams all secretly favor RM and bend over when they play them and get extra boost when play against us. We sucked and we should look for answers within ourselves, not finding scapegoats for our failures otherwise we will keep failing.

No, I am not going to accept the victim role just because Barca gets screwed over for decades.

I have noticed that # of fouls committed seems to have increased for Barça this year, since Valverde has taken over. Something related to more intense pressing? I don't think we can just blame referees ...

You have to look closer there. In Pep's system little fouls far away from goal were one of the most important aspects of our work without the ball.
We pressed as a unit, often high up the pitch and you have to take risks there. When you realize the opponent is able to escape the trap you foul because you leave rather huge areas of space in some areas. It is also unlikely to get yellow cards in such situations.

I do not know if the number of our fouls has risen and where they occur. Need to look deeper into that and analyze Valverde's tactics without the ball.

Valencia currently beating Malaga with the scoreline currently being 3-0.

It would be Malaga's 5th straight loss this season.

Edit: make that 4-0 with a Zaza Hattrick.

Valencia starting to look like Marcelino team more and more. I knew he'll improve them but I thought he'll need more time with most of the new signings joining them very late. Didn't expect them to be a candidate for 4th place already this season but if they continue like this then everything is possible. Though they still have some depth concerns IMO but they are not playing European competition so they could concentrate just on La Liga.

On the other hand Malaga lost too much quality this summer with Sandro, Camacho, Fornals all gone so I expected early season struggles but still suprising they started with 5 losses. They didn't play bad in 1st half but totally collapsed in 2nd. Now they also have two tough games coming up (Athletic home and Sevilla away) so it's possible they'll be winless or even pointless after 7 games. And Michel's job is also on the line. Could be sacked already after today's game. He didn't have the best relationship with Al Thani for some time so wouldn't surprise me if Sheikh has just waited for a loss like that to get rid off him.
