Tricky situation; however, Laporta did not have much of a choice while Tebas did. Forcing Laporta between CVC or letting Messi go could practically be the end of La Liga. Tebas needs to acknowledge that both Perez and Laporta do not see him as an obstacle to their ambition because they will move forward regardless. Tebas should have focused on making La Liga as competitive for as long as he could and let UEFA deal with the SL.

Laporta could go crazy from now on as there is not really much to lose.

Tebas is trying to kill super league which will kill la Liga. 10% is nothing compared what super League would do. SUPER LEAGUE would reduce la Liga tv income by atleast 80%.

He's actually trying to save La Liga

He should genuinely focus on improving the league (one way is to ease up a bit perhaps and let clubs reinforce their squads) and let UEFA deal with the SL. You never know, Perez and Laporta may drop the idea voluntarily. Risking the future of the league was a big no no, and I feel this is going to be a turning point for us.

Let us see how much we are going to get once Rakuten's deal is done and go from there.
