He is just back from injury, was better than the other two in midfield.

Teams learned Valverde's game and it will be harder for him to make impact. I don't know how good of a midfielder he is, my impression is he's another Frank Lampard type of shooter midfielder. Kroos and Modric are irreplaceable, besides the veterans I'm only impressed by Kamavinga.
