Andoni Iraola, who is one of the best coaches in LaLiga doing fantastic work with Rayo, is about to get poached by Leeds in EPL. They went up as 6th in Segunda couple seasons ago through the playoffs, and are already established as solid LL team. What a shame and I hope he doesn't move.

This is another problem. Not only can LaLiga not sign new talent, it can't even keep the coaching talent there anymore and all the best coaches have left and gone to EPL. Whilst most of LaLiga are stuck with bang average managers.

Tebas is crippling the league. Maybe his goal is noble and to ensure that no club goes into financial difficulty or everyone is on an even playing field but the reality of football is that investment is going to continually go elsewhere until these rules change. Once the whole of EPL is bought up by sheikhs they will go to another top5 league to buy up real estate, it could be Spain, without these ridiculous laws.

Valencia should have tried to get him. While Villarreal opted for Setien.

Xabi Alonso went to Germany too, so not just a case of the EPL.

LaLiga clubs that should have went for the next generation of coaches, also chose not to. League is lost a bit really.

Well I'd go. Not much opportunities to coach on higher level in Spain atm. La Liga struggles because of diminished historically big clubs like Valencia, Celta, Deportivo, Zaragoza and might even include Espanyol.

In what context?

I guess financially it is not viable.

Funny thing is that Sport had an article about the new third division a week or so ago, saying how it was the envy of the rest of Europe and a huge success.

Anyways, there's opportunity in this. For example, if this is true, then a company could financially propose a new third division of 20 teams, which would certainly be easier to attract investment to.

Sure, you are cutting 20 teams from the pyramid, but I think 62 professional teams (20 Laliga, 22 LaLiga2, 20 New 3) is way more viable than 40 and a split group 3rd division which it seems, is struggling to attract investment, sponsorship and viewership.

Just hope it is a third party and not an adoption to LaLiga3 where there would be less trickle down with CVC already signed. Also so it would exist outside the Salary Cap and selfishly, would support development teams in Spain more like Barca B.

Atleti in serious potential financial trouble. They are left without their main sponsor (WhaleFin) for the next season due to the cryptocurrency crisis.
Was initially a five-year contract of 40 million euros per year. Whalefin clings to a clause in the contract to leave it.
