It was clear from the start, that Barca paid that money to be on even grounds. A former ref, I forgot the name said that 80% of LaLiga refs are Madrid fans. It's also political, since most of spain hates Catalans. Then you have the negreira case, where LaLiga obviously wants to crown their clean white team in their new stadium.

The agenda this year is pretty much clear, crown Madrid whatever it takes.
